MARECHAUSSEE SILVER AWARD

It was a surprise to most of those assembled particularly Orv and Bianca Butts when they were asked to come forward to recognize the work Orv has done for the Military Police Regimental Association (MPRA). The Marechaussee award is sponsored by the MPRA to recognize exceptional dedication, competence and contribution to the Regiment over an extended period of time.

Nomination Criteria:
  • Member of the MPRA or a military, civilian or Reserve component.
  • Recommended for approval by an MP Lieutenant Colonel or higher.
  • Demonstrated outstanding professional competence in Military Police matters.
  • Demonstrated dedicated application of time, effort and distinguished service to the Regiment.
  • Maintains high standards of personal conduct on and off duty.
Orv has met those criterion and then some. He is a man of his word and a good friend.

Orv making his acceptance speech.

He was surprised and humble as we all knew he would be. He is that kind of man. He would rather give credit than take it. He will do to ride the river with.
